Show Highlights:

They first conversation was about how much the hosts loved the Strowman/Reigns angle on Raw. They had ideas to expand the angle to having Roman attacked wherever he is. Then they make an angle of the United Airlines story but using Braun and Roman.

X-Pac sighting

This leads to Vince’s story of seeing X-Pac at a Chicago Airport. He did not say anything to him though. Tom wanted to know how he was dressed and how he acted.

NJPW talk

Matt and Vince tell Tom to not watch the Okada vs. Shibata match from NJPW Genesis because they loved the style of the match and he will find it boring, totally making fun of him in the process.

Cena/Miz

Tom watched the Miz run to the ring and he loved it. They discuss the Miz-Cena angle and how realistic the Miz and Maryse are at impersonating Cena and Nikki Bella.

Jinder/Finn

Tom talks about Jinder Mahal knocking out Finn Bálor. They also discuss other wrestlers that Tom likes. This includes Dean Ambrose and his long-standing fandom of him.

NJPW Genesis

David Finley changed his look. He also has a shirt where he is Godzilla. Awesome! They discussed if they thought Shibata getting hospitalized was a work or not. Matt said he thought it was real since he thinks everything in wrestling is not real. Vince tends to believe it is real because of medical updates and taking him off shows. Matt loved Hiromu Takahashi vs. KUSHIDA. It was short, and he thought it was still great.

Smackdown Talk

Tom actually watched Smackdown! He wants to see A.J. Styles vs. Nakamura. This leads into a discussion of how Roman Reigns getting over with Vince because everyone hates him so much, as well as his interview on Chris Jericho’s podcast. The hosts think that Vince has gone to a witch doctor to try to get Roman over.

JBL

They talk about the Ride Along episode with JBL, Michael Cole, and Byron Saxton and how they tried to portray the picking on Byron as just some fun. Tom brings up that he listened to Jim Cornette defending JBL and how dumb he thought that was. All three of them talk about how the days of treating people like that should be over and people have to stop living in the past. They also bring up how WWE partners like Be A STAR allow situations like this. This leads to talk about a story in Justin Robert’s book that he had his passport stolen and never mentioned JBL. Johnny Mundo claims JBL asked him and Joey Mercury to steal his passport but they didn’t do it.

Matt relays a story from the Bruce Prichard podcast about JBL picking on Steve Blackman until one day Blackman beat him up at the airport.

Alberto El Patron Periscope

Vince, Tom, and Matt discuss Alberto El Patron doing random Periscopes, and him cursing out and accusing WWE of wanting him back, and being the reason Paige’s sex tape and nude photos were leaked. They do a bit of Triple H, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and Michael Hayes in a diner trying to steal Paige’s phone.

Who is your favorite wrestler?

Tom said his favorite wrestler this week is The Miz. He loves his entrance and the impression he and Maryse are doing of Cena and Nikki Bella.

Vince said his favorite wrestler this week is Samoa Joe. He is excited for the Joe vs. Seth Rollins feud.

Matt said his favorite wrestler is Junkyard Dog. He has been watching Mid-South on the WWE Network. He loves JYD in his prime in Bill Watt’s territory and how he talks and comes off as a legit badass wrestler. He also loves the booking and how is it different from today, because angles actually went places instead of something like Big Show coming out to punch Curt Hawkins and that’s it. Today’s booking is so on-the-fly and isn’t forward-thinking enough.

They end the show by plugging their social media and thanking the audience for listening.

Score and Review:

9/10 – Such a fun episode. The chemistry between all three of the hosts is off the charts and it works perfectly, as they are not just a review-type show. Since they are all legitimate comedians they are really funny when they make up bits about wrestlers and do impressions of their voices. I think it was a great listen this week. How they cover the news and what is happening in wrestling is extremely entertaining.
