Intro

  • Cyrus is back from the Chris Jericho Rock ‘n’ Rager at Sea and wants to give a behind the scenes look.

Don Tells A Story About His Father

  • Cyrus has never been a cruise guy. His father was in navy during the war on a Corvette ship. Their mission was to hunt German U-Boats. The ship had no refrigeration so the cook would lace their meat with curry to hide the flavor of rot. His father still hates the smell of curry. For food, he would eat onion sandwiches.

Cyrus is not a Cruise Guy

  • Cyrus always gets seasick and has never been a cruise guy. However, even though he’s not a cruise guy, he had a great time on the Jericho Cruise.
  • If you’re a wrestling fan, there was no better experience than the Jericho cruise including WrestleMania and WrestleCon.

Cruise Highlights

  • Cyrus got to hang out with his oldest friends in the business like Konnan and Raven.
  • Impact vs. ROH matches were cool.
  • Bucks vs. LAX was amazing and LAX were able to keep up with the bucks who had their working boots on.
  • The deck fight with Sami Callihan and Marty Scurll. Cyrus was disguised in a captain’s uniform standing in the crowd and got involved in this match attacking Scurll.
  • Impact vs. Bullet club was great.
  • Don got to call action for Alpha Club vs. Bullet Club.
  • Cyrus isn’t a huge rock ‘n’ roll guy, but he thought Fozzy and the Cherry Bombs were good.

Inducted Into The Keeping It 100 Hall Of Fame

  • Even though Disco Inferno knew about the crew about a year and a half ago, Disco didn’t show up as he did not renew his passport, have a driver’s license or birth certificate.
  • Cyrus was inducted into Keeping It 100 HoF. Frankie Kazarian and Ted Irving endorsed him. Comedian Brad Williams chopped Cyrus to seal the deal.

NJPW

  • Cyrus is going back to New Japan as they were able to work out a deal. He’s going back November 17th and 18th. He loves the company and the boys.
  • Jericho retained the IWGP IC title against EVIL.

Impact Wrestling

  • Cyrus is going to Vegas for Impact TV tapings.
  • This week check out Impact’s Final Hour TV Special on Pop TV.
  • Killer Cross who is turning heads will be challenging Johnny Impact for the world title.

General Wrestling Talk

  • Fozzy is doing a Canadian tour doing dates in December, visiting Winnipeg Halifax and Thunder Bay.
  • There are lots of dynamics going on in the business regarding who is signing where and where is Jericho going? There is less certainty in the business about the landscape of wrestling than there’s ever been.
  • If you’re a wrestling fan, enjoy it. And if there’s another Jericho cruise do it. You have a year to plan. Jericho was everywhere on the cruise and very accessible.

Show Wrap

Rating: 7/10

Not a bad podcast. Don did a bunch of rapid fire type topics and if you’re interested in the Jericho cruise, this will give you a little taste of what it was like. And at 38 minutes, it’s a really easy listen. Definite thumbs up recommend.
