  • Ricky was recently in Louisville Kentucky for an event and talks about a concert he went to in the ’70s and meeting Alice Cooper. He was a huge fan of Alice, but when Ricky approached him, Alice recognized him which blew his mind.
  • Ricky spent time with Kane and Teddy Long in Louisville.
  • Ricky was at Wrestlecade. Wrestlecade is not just for fans but also the wrestlers. Someone stole a heavyweight title belt which pissed off Morton. He said that person was stealing from everyone.
  • Morton answers a Twitter question about the Briscos. He say he never wrestled them but he got his butt kicked by them a bunch of times. Same with Harley Race who he saw at Wrestlecade.
  • Ricky says first impressions mean a lot and thinks Nick Aldis is the best in the world and should be the only one that should be holding the heavyweight title.

  • Aldis said he and Morton should have a match but Ricky says there are a lot of other great wrestlers that deserve that more than Ricky.
  • Ricky said Ric Flair would give people their money’s worth, which is what Nick does. He also looks like someone.
  • Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, the Midnights and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express came up together in the business.
  • Worst ass whipping he ever got was when Hayes and Gordy were involved in a riot with Morton and Bobby Eaton.
  • Michael Hayes and Robert Gibson used to hitchhike in Florida to go put up the ring to try and get into the business.

Concrete Brick

  • Ricky saw footage where a wrestler (Angel o Demonio) threw a cinder block at someone’s head.
  • Back in the day everyone would have come out and rip that guy’s head off.
  • People like that have no business being in wrestling.
  • Ricky has been in territories where guys didn’t get along but when they got into the ring it was nothing but business.
  • When you throw a block to try and impress someone in the back needs to get out of the business.
  • Ricky says this guy is nothing but a joke. Angel o Demonio is calling himself ‘The King Of Concrete.’

Upcoming Events

  • The School Of Morton will be hosting an event called ‘Once Upon A Time At Christmas’. The show will be streamed live on YouTube December 9th at 5:00pm.
  • Christmas Star Wars, Bunkhouse Stampede on Christmas day. All matches will be cage matches. Ricky Morton will be in the Bunkhouse Stampede match. Johnson City Community Theatre.

Rating – 6/10

This is my third class with the School Of Morton and as much as I want to like this podcast, I find it a little difficult to listen to. The underlying theme in each of the podcasts I’ve heard is that young people don’t know the business and Ricky does. I don’t disagree with that, he certainly has forgotten more than most will know and does have a bunch of good stories, but  hearing it every month gets a little tiring and I’m a Ricky Morton fan!!! I did like his take on the cement block throwing incident and might recommend listening to that portion of the podcast but otherwise, this is a pass or at best a thumbs in the middle.
